When the website is accessed, technically necessary data may be processed in order to deliver the site, operate it reliably and protect it against misuse. This may include IP address, date and time of access, requested page, referrer URL, browser type, operating system and technical access data.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is the secure, fast and reliable delivery of this website.
Netlify may also process data in the United States. According to Netlify, appropriate transfer mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses are used for international data transfers.
3. Contact by email or telephone
If you contact GCON-DB by email or telephone, the data you provide will be processed, including in particular your name, company, email address, telephone number, content of the enquiry and technical communication data.
The purpose is to handle your enquiry, prepare or perform pre-contractual measures and conduct business communication.
The legal bases are Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for general business communication.
4. No tracking or marketing cookies
At present this website does not use Google Analytics, Matomo, Meta, LinkedIn or comparable tracking services.
There are no newsletter sign-ups, Netlify Forms, embedded YouTube videos, Google Maps, reCAPTCHA components or externally loaded web fonts.
The site may store one language preference locally in the browser using localStorage. The value is only de or en, is not transmitted to GCON-DB and is used solely to preserve a language explicitly selected by the visitor.
5. Internal local project tools
GCON-DB uses local analysis and development tools for project work, including the internal GCON-DB Migration Studio. The website itself does not send database content, source code or access credentials to those tools.
During a commissioned project, technical metadata, source code or other project data may be processed where required for the agreed analysis and implementation. Scope, access rights, storage and delivery are defined by the engagement and the agreed customer environment.
6. Recipients of personal data
Personal data is processed or disclosed only where required to deliver the website, handle an enquiry, perform an engagement or meet legal obligations.
Netlify is used as a technical hosting provider. Data is not otherwise disclosed for advertising or tracking purposes.
7. Retention
Server-related access data is retained by the hosting provider in accordance with its technical and legal requirements and is subsequently deleted or anonymised.
Data from enquiries is retained for as long as required to handle the enquiry, maintain the business relationship, respond to follow-up questions or comply with statutory retention duties. Data that is no longer required is deleted unless legal retention obligations apply.
